Kate Bodmer Named New Director of Mandell JCC Shirley Reaback Early Childhood Center, Fall 2013

The Mandell JCC is excited to announce Kate Bodmer as the new Director of the Mandell JCC Shirley Reaback Early Childhood Center, 1079 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT.

 

Formerly the Director of the Mandell JCC Farmington Valley Early Childhood Center, Bodmer has been working with the Mandell JCC for over five years. She received her degree from Lasell College, in Newton, Mass., and has been working in preschools and early childhood centers for the past 20 years.  During the summer months, Bodmer is the Assistant Manager of the Mandell JCC Swim and Tennis Club in Bloomfield, CT and the Director of Sports Jam, a summer sports camp.

“One thing we have introduced this school year is Motion Mania. The children and staff are really enjoying this addition to the already vibrant program,” Bodmer said. In her new role, Bodmer also looks forward to expanding and enhancing the preschool program, meeting new families and working with children everyday.

The Shirley Reaback ECC, an affiliate site of the Mandell JCC, consists of small class size with personalized attention and a low student-to-teacher ratio.  Enrollment for the 2013-2014 year will begin late fall. Included with tuition is a full family membership to the Mandell JCC in West Hartford. Enrollment in the Mandell JCC preschools is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds.
