ProHealth Physicians Opens New Manchester Office

ProHealth Physicians moved into its new Manchester facilities at 515 West Middle Turnpike at the end of April.

On Wednesday, June 6, ProHealth Physicians held an official ribbon cutting ceremony at their newest location at 515 West Middle Turnpike (the former Bally’s location). The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and ProHealth staff organized the event, which included guided tours of the facility, remarks by ProHealth’s President and CEO, Jack Reed, and Manchester internist, Dr. Jeff Ettinger; as well as Mayor Leo Diana’s formal “welcome to the community”.

Attendees included State Representative Geof Luxenberg, State Representative Jason Rojas, State Representative John Thompson, Mayor Diana, and Deputy Mayor Jay Moran.   The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce was represented by President, Sue O’Connor, staff, and approximately 30 Chamber members from local businesses.

ProHealth Physicians moved into the new facility at the end of April and has expanded access to a variety of healthcare services in this highly-convenient location that incorporates the features of a “smart building.”  ProHealth Physicians of Manchester is a primary care practice of five physicians and one physician assistant who formerly practiced in individual sites throughout town. By consolidating, they have been able to improve efficiency, expand access, and provide patients with convenient access to the diagnostic and therapeutic services that ProHealth offers at the same location - all with the patients’ healthcare needs in mind.

ProHealth staff perform blood draws for laboratory tests, imaging services and physical therapy, and an ear, nose, and throat specialist who, with an audiologist, oversees the ProHealth Hearing Center.

Also conveniently co-located, ProHealth opened its first Express Care center that offers both daytime and evening hours for those who require unscheduled care, regardless of whether the patient has a ProHealth primary care physician.

ProHealth Express Care has been very well received by the community and providers alike; the organization has Express Care centers that offer evening and weekend hours in five additional locations, including Bristol, Glastonbury, Meriden, Torrington, and West Hartford. Additional health care services and providers are scheduled to move into the facility and are expected to open for operations by the end of June, providing an even greater opportunity to enhance the level of collaboration, communication, convenience and coordination of care for members of the greater Manchester community.
