Imagine Main Street to Host Event This Evening

Tonight's event, which focuses on bringing the arts to downtown Manchester, will be concentrated on the Johnson Block, 687 through 705 Main Street.

On Thursday evening, Aug. 2, the third event will be held on Main Street in Manchester. The event will again focus on bringing the arts to downtown Manchester.  

Imagine Main Street’s mission is to incorporate the rich cultural and historic heritage of Manchester with a new and creative arts culture. Imagine Main Street is a collaboration of representatives of the Town of Manchester, , the Downtown Special Services District, local business owners, non-profit organizations, artists and involved citizens.

Program highlights for Aug. 2nd are focused on the Johnson Block, 687 through 705 Main Street. Activities include the staging of four currently vacant storefronts. The evening’s activities will include a Bumper to Bumper Automobile Art Gallery, a tasting of , an Art and Artisan display and sale, a chocolate tasting by Aruna Chocolates, music, wine and a presentation by the Little Theater of Manchester. Attendees are encouraged to visit local restaurants for Imagine specials and visit downtown businesses open that evening.

This event is being coordinated with the 2012 in Center Memorial Park. Music in the park that evening will be provided by The 9th Wave, an East Coast original instrumental surf rock group.
Imagine Main Street’s September event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 6.
