Imagine Main Street to Hold Fourth Event Sept. 6th

Imagine Main Street's mission is to incorporate the rich cultural and historic heritage ofManchester with a new and creative arts culture.

On Thursday evening September 6, the fourth Imagine Main Street event will be held on Main Street in downtown Manchester. The event will continue the organization’s focus on bringing the arts to downtown Manchester.

Imagine Main Street’s mission is to incorporate the rich cultural and historic heritage ofManchester with a new and creative arts culture. Imagine Main Street is a collaboration involving representatives of the town of Manchester, Manchester Community College, the Downtown Special Services District, local business owners, non-profit organizations, artists and involved citizens.

Program highlights for September 6 are focused on the Johnson Block, 687 through 713 Main Street. Activities include the staging of four currently vacant storefronts. The evening’s activities will include a beer tasting provided by Olde Burnside Brewing Co., an Art and Artisan display and sale, a wine tasting provided by Bin 288, a chocolate tasting by Aruna Chocolates, music at several locations on Main Street, and poetry readings.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit newly renovated apartments. Many local restaurants will have Imagine specials and attendees are encouraged to visit downtown businesses open that evening. Imagine Main Street’s October event is scheduled for Thursday, October 4.
