Police Arrest Two in Parkade Crack Bust

Two men were arrested Wednesday, July 24, 2013, and charged with drug offenses after undercover police officers conducted a buy/bust operation in the Parkade Plaza on West Middle Turnpike.

According to Manchester Police, Mahlik Thorpe, 23, of Hartford, was taken into custody after he sold crack cocaine to undercover officers. Police also arrested the driver of Thorpe's vehicle, Aaron Doby, 23, of East Hartford.

Police also recovered 2.03 grams of crack cocaine.

Thorpe was charged with the sale and possession of cocaine and was also served with three outstanding warrants for the same offenses. He is being held on a combined $300,000 surety bond.

Doby was charged with conspiracy of the sale and possession of cocaine and is being held on a $25,000 non-surety bond.
