Winding Down the Year at Bennet - Lots To Do!

The next few weeks at Elisabeth M. Bennet Academy are busy ones!

This Thursday night, its the 2nd Annual Staff vs. Student basketball game in the Cone Gym!  21 of Bennet's super star students take on the staff - open to the public, free of charge, bring your Bennet family and cheer on the players!  We'll have cheerleaders, music by Connecticut DJ and tons of fun!  The fun starts at 6:30 this Thursday night!

Monday May 5 is the Spring Walkathon at Bennet Academy.  The Phys Ed department is looking for parents to help with organizing the kids as they walk their laps around the courtyard between 9am and 2pm.  If you have some time to spare please contact Grahame Slogesky at bennetacademyptsa@gmail.com.

Did you know Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up May 5 - 9, and this year we ask all Bennet Bears to really take a moment to let Bennet staff know how appreciated they really are!  Please encourage your child to take a moment to make a card, or write a note to the teacher or staff person who has made a difference for them this year.  It takes just a moment, and its appreciated!

On May 15, parents of next year's Bennet Students will visit the school for orientation.  If you plan to be there, look for PTSA outside the Cone Gym at 6:30pm.  Purchase Bennet Spirit Wear while it lasts, and find out more about becoming a PTSA Volunteer!

May 16 brings Movie Night at Bennet.  The student body voted for "Frozen" in a landslide vote -- so we hope you'll bring your Bennet family and join us in the Cone Gym that evening!  Wear PJs, bring blankets and pillows and enjoy the movie with your friends and family!

On June 18 (the day before the last day of school), Bennet Academy is planning a Fun Day for students.  They are looking for volunteers to help chaperone kids and organize games.
