Before Frodo and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, there was another epic tale from Middle Earth. "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" opens Dec. 14 and it's not too soon to figure out when you'll watch.
According to IMDB.com, the movie follows the story of "a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, (who) journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug."
The fantasy film based in a land of elves, wizards and hobbits starts just after midnight on Dec. 14. It debuts in 3D and 2D at Manchester's Rave Motion Pictures Buckland Hills 18 at 12:01 a.m. Friday.
Tickets can be purchased on the show's website from Fandango for $13.50 for the 3D show and $10.25 for the regular show.
