Strollin' on Main Street

Strollin' on Main Street, Thursday, June 9 from 6 PM to 8:00 PM. Grab your sweetheart, round up your best friends and join us for an old fashioned Thursday night stroll through Downtown Manchester. Start the evening with a bag of popcorn from John “Popcorn Man” Hovey. Travel along Main Street aboard a free horsedrawn wagonette.

Enjoy live music by area musicians along Downtown sidewalks including: Curtis Wiley, Trainwreck Jerry, the Acoustic Surf Tones, Beller’s Acoustic Ensemble and Chip Fenney & Friends. Tap your toes while DJ Jim Wayne spins tunes in the north Forest St. Lot where the St. Bridget Twirlers will perform and the Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Vernon will give a dance demo.

Katherine’s Hair Design will host an art exhibit by Manchester Art
Association artists and “Train Chef” John LeDonne will introduce model railroad fans to a train display at Pinewood Furniture.  Downtown strollers can visit their favorite shop, pause at sidewalk displays by local businesses and not for profits, stop for a bite at a downtown restaurant and end the evening with a free sidewalk ice cream courtesy of Shady Glen and Royal Ice Cream - while it lasts!
