Manchester Community College Prepares for 20th Anniversary of An Evening of Fine Wines

will be hosting its signature fundraising event on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event, which raises  funds for student scholarships and programs at MCC, features an evening of wine tastings, live and silent auctions (featuring wine and non-wine items), as well as elegant hors d’oeuvres and Viennese-style desserts which are prepared by Culinary Arts students at MCC. 

Sponsored by the Rockville Bank Foundation, the 20th anniversary event is projected to raise more than $200,000 for student scholarships and programs at MCC. 

“As a community bank, we are proud to lend our name and support to such an honorable event.  has been the signature fundraising event of MCC and has come to be recognized as a premier event in the region,” said William H.W. Crawford, IV, An Evening of Fine Wines 2012 Honorary Chair, and President and CEO of Rockville Bank.

This year’s auction will be emceed by Fox CT Morning News anchors Logan Byrnes and Erika Arias. Among the items to bid on include a South African photo safari, numerous lots of wine from around the globe, works of art and trips to various locations.

The Manchester Community College Foundation, Inc. is a private, nonprofit 501 (c) 3 Connecticut corporation with a mission of advancing the academic, economic and personal growth of diverse populations by finding sources of funding that will be used to assist the College in achieving its mission and goals of supporting student programs, scholarships and equipment.
