Connecticut French Horn Orchestra Benefit Concert for National Multiple Sclerosis Society, CT Chapter

St.Mary’s Episcopal Church, Manchester and St. John’s Episcopal Church, North Haven are pleased to present The Connecticut French Horn Orchestra for two
performances to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter.  The concerts will be held on
Saturday, September 8th, 7:30pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 3 Trumbull Place, North Haven, CT, and Sunday, September 9th, 4:00pm at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 41 Park Street, Manchester, CT.

The Connecticut French Horn Orchestra is comprised of approximately 30 professional horn players who work and/or live in Connecticut or surrounding areas, and are
joined by guest percussionists. The same program will be presented at both locations and will have a wide variety of music from composers such as Beethoven and Wagner, as well as music from film scores. In addition to varied
selections for the large horn orchestra, several different small ensembles will be featured, such as an ensemble of natural horns, and a guest appearance by the members of Connecticut's own Coast Guard Band horn section.  Musicians performing represent almost all of the professional orchestras in the state, the Coast Guard Band, and faculty from several area music colleges.

In 2009 the Connecticut French Horn Orchestra performed for the first time at St John’s Church to a sold-out audience. The coordinator of these concerts is Susan
Spaulding, a resident of North Haven and member of St. John's Church who was diagnosed with MS in 2005. Sue is principal horn of the Greater Bridgeport Symphony, Horn Instructor at the Hartt School Community Division, adjunct
faculty at The Hartt School Collegiate Division, and professor of horn at Central CT State University.
