Services, Vigils for Newtown Victims Planned for Sunday in Manchester
There are multiple memorial events taking place throughout town on Sunday for the victims of the Newtown shootings.
A number of memorial services and candlelight vigils have been planned for Sunday in Manchester to honor the victims of Friday's tragic shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.
Second Congregational Church at 385 North Main St. plans to dedicate its 10 a.m. sermon to addressing the tragedy, followed by a prayer vigil until noon in the chapel.
Center Congregational Church at 11 Center St. will hold a candlelight vigil at 5 p.m. to remember the victims of the Newtown shootings; the vigil will be held inside the church if it rains.
