Pet Iguana Found in Manchester Seeks Rightful Owner

If the owner doesn't claim it, the lizard will go up for adoption.

Five days after it was found, an iguana is still waiting be be claimed by an owner who can identify the lizard’s distinct characteristics, the Hartford Courant reported.

The iguana was found Friday on Bidwell Street. It appeared dehydrated and its tail was discolored, so police took it to Bolton Veterinary Hospital, the Courant reported. But the animal now seems to be in good health.

“He looks well cared for. Hope his owners think to check into Animal Control for him,” said Manchester, CT Animal Control in a comment on the page's Facebook post about the iguana.

If an owner doesn’t come forward after seven days from the day it was found, the iguana will go up for adoption.
