Imagine Main Street to Host Event Thursday

Highlights of the October 3rd program include happenings at the following venues:

Forest Street Parking Lot

Farmer’s Market – Join us for the Imagine Main Street Farmer’s Market at the Forest Street parking lot.  The market will be open beginning at 5:00 p.m.  In addition to the locally grown produce, there will be music and artisan vendors.  Musical acts include Avery Devine followed by the Blue Grass Jam.

Pumpkin Art Competition – BYOP beginning at 5:00.

MCC on Main, The Dehn Gallery – 903 Main Street

Theresa Wright, an R&B and Jazz Entertainer from CT, will perform various genres of music from the 1930's and 1940's. Theresa has performed for the Greater Hartford Jazz Festival and worked with artists such as Jaimoe from the Allman Brothers Band as well as the J. Giles Band.  The show begins at 8:00.

Anne Miller Real Estate - 975 Main Street

Enjoy a wine tasting and a unique gift and basket sale to benefit local charities.

Forest Street Package Store – 1065 Main Street

Enjoy a Blue Chair Rum and assorted club cocktail tasting.

“All that Glows on an Autumn Night”.  Enjoy artists creating and selling works of art based on the theme.  Discount coupons will be available for those who want their work framed.  Cider and other treats available.

Johnson Block – 687 to 713 Main Street (between Bissell Street and Brainard Place)

Along the sidewalk, art and craft vendors will display and sell their work.

City Steam Brewery – This great local brewery will be on hand pouring tastings of Naughty Nurse, Blonde on Blonde, Innocence and Creme De La Crème.

Katherine’s Hair Design – 695 Main Street

Check out the art exhibit by the Manchester Art Association.
