Downtown Manchester On The Lookout For Scarecrow Artists

The following is a press release from the Downtown Manchester Special Services District: 

Businesses, organizations and interested individuals are invited to create a family friendly Scarecrow for display in historic Downtown Manchester during the 5th Annual Downtown Scarecrow Contest & Festival. The Scarecrows will be on display from October 1 thru October 26.

Prizes will be awarded to Scarecrow artists in a variety of categories including: People’s Choice and Facebook Favorites. Winners will be recognized and prizes awarded during a ceremony on Sat. Oct. 26th at 11 AM by the Dancing Bears Fountain in Center Memorial Park next to the Mary Cheney Library.

Scarecrow Artists must register to participate. Scarecrows will be installed by the artists in assigned locations beginning September 28th.

Scarecrow registrations will be accepted until Sept. 23rd. The Scarecrow Festival and Contest is sponsored by the Downtown Manchester Special Services District.
