Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Tonight

Holiday on Main kicks off tonight with the lighting of the Downtown Christmas Tree tonight on the lawn of St. James Church.

Downtown Manchester kicks’off the holiday season with the lighting of the Downtown Christmas Tree at 6:45 p.m. tonight on the lawn of .

Santa arrives by fire engine courtesy of the Manchester Fire-Rescue-EMS Department. Award winning WTIC AM Morning Sportscaster, Scott Gray, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. The 2011 Christmas Tree Lighters will be:  Principal Karen Gray and students from Washington Street School. The Summit Singers, Silk City Barbershop Chorus and Ensemble from the Salvation Army Band will perform. Join in a community carol sing and visit with strolling costume characters.  Bring a new, unwrapped toy to benefit the Blue Angels Foundation Holiday Party.
