The Manchester Fire Department 8th Utilities District is proud to announce their 64th Annual Peach Festival on Friday, August 23, 2013.
The Festival has been continuously held since 1949, Rain or Shine. The event typically draws over 3,000 hungry community members. The proceeds for this event are used to support the mission of the 8th Utilities Fire Department.
The Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary organizes the event in conjunction with the Fire Department Members. The event would not be possible without the community involvement in the annual tradition of the peach peeling, which marks the beginning of this event.
Your $4.00 Peach Festival ticket provides you with a delicious bowl of mouth-watering peach shortcake, admission to the event, and the opportunity to win one of several door prizes. The Peach Festival will begin promptly at 6pm and conclude at 8:00pm.
Location is the Fire Headquarters located at 138 Main Street. No need to wait until the day of the event to purchase your ticket! Tickets are on sale now at the Fire Headquarters located at 138 Main Street or call 643-7373. You can also purchase tickets at the door. Those taking the tasty treats home should bring wraps or covers and boxes to transport them safely.
