"5 Things You Need to Know About..." Baseball, Fishing Season, and April Vacation

The governor revised his budget proposal, the Manchester High baseball team continues its winning ways, and fishing season is almost upon us.

1. Manchester High's in a 5-3 victory over Windsor Thursday to help propel the Indians to a 4-0 record to start the season. 

2. Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced Thursday, his 100th day in office, that he was to reinstate $300 worth of a property tax credit that his initial budget eliminated. 

3. Several local police departments are looking for two men who are believed to have been involved in Wednesday. The men are also suspected of having committed other robberies in the area.

4. Saturday marks the official start of fishing season in Connecticut. Fishermen can purchase a license online from the Department of Environmental Protection or at particpating town halls, DEP field offices and fishing tackle vendors. The nearest stocked fishing pond is Valley Falls Park Pond in Vernon. 

5. And although it might be fishing season, it won't be for Manchester public school students until Wednesday, due to the large number of snow days and school cancellations this winter. Bummer.
