Chante Drasdis Named 2013 Future Leader by American Health Care Association & National Center for Assisted Living

Chante Drasdis named 2013 “Future Leader” by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL)

East Hartford, CT—The Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities (CAHCF), Inc., today announced that Chanté Drasdis, Executive Director of Arbors of Hop Brook in Manchester CT, has been chosen by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) as a future leader in long term care. Drasdis will join the association’s Future Leaders program, a year-long program that offers training and guidance for long term care professionals.

Drasdis is the Executive Director of Arbors of Hop Brook. Arbors is a 114-unit Continuing Care Retirement Community in Manchester, Connecticut offering independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing services to elderly persons. Arbors’ nursing home, Manchester Manor, provides the skilled nursing component of the continuum.  Drasdis is also an active member and former Board Member of the Connecticut Assisted Living Association and an active member of the University of Connecticut Health Care Management Advisory Board. She formerly served as an on-site surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities-Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CARF-CCAC).
