10-Year-Old St. James Student Represents CT at Swim Championships in N.Y.

Tahlia Crowley is a 10 year old fourth grader at Saint James School in Manchester, CT. 

She swims competitively for the Mandell JCC Sharks in West Hartford, CT. Tahlia qualified as one of the top three swimmers in Connecticut for her 10 & Under age group and competed at the 2014 Eastern Zone Short Course Age Group Championships in Webster, NY the weekend of March 28, 2014.

She was one of twelve swimmers to represent the state of Connecticut at the 2014 Zone Championship swim meet.  She competed against the top 10 and Under swimmers from the Eastern Region which includes, NY, MA, ME, MD, DE, NJ and several other states.

Tahlia placed fourth overall in the 500 freestyle and 10th in the 200 freestyle.  A new Zone record was set in the 400 Free Relay by Tahlia and she broke the Eastern Zones record along with fellow Connecticut swimmers Meghan Lynch (Greenwich Y Dolphins), Vivian Mudry (Soundview Y Stingrays) and Sophie Murphy. (Meriden Silver Fins).

The CT 10 and under girls team placed first overall at the 2014 Eastern Zone Short Course Age Group Championships and 6th overall as the CT team for all age groups.  Tahlia will represent CT again in the 2014 Eastern Zone Long Course Age Group Championships that will take place this summer in August 2014.
