Humans do hate noise. Most police departments are very aware of that fact. "Turn it down" Read Moreare the words most often spoken by C Squad (night shift) members of the Hartford Police department. Humans also love music and TV. There is a natural deterrent to that for the owner of the vehicle, it's a dead battery. Enforcement is a matter of opinion and whatever dispatch people think. Other items such as domestic violence do become a lot more important.

Just wait until no ones responds to your post and then you really feel frustration. And by the wayRead Moreg ood points. The Patch is pretty much dead as real issues go.Its just fluff and selfish commercials for selling houses or some other stupid non news item.

Still no comments huh? People don't care and the really sad part will be that an accident withRead Moreinjur ies or worse will have to happen before anything will be done.

They still hold their positions because either A) people are lazy and complacent and just go withRead Morena me recognition or B) They care so little about anything but themselves that they don't bother to research solutions to the problems at hand. If it is not happening to THEM (YET) then it isnt important to them. However, as the saying goes:If you keep doing what you've always done, you're going to keep getting what you've always gotten.

Simple research will prove my point. Just a few months ago a man scaled a building crept in a third Read Morestory window raped beat and set a woman in her fifties. Not long ago a Manchester cab driver raped a girl who was intoxicated after her mother called to have her picked up safely to be brought home. Manchester CVS and Marshall's had armed robberies and a hostage situation .

So here we are almost a month later and no follow up story about how the situation has beenRead Moreresolved or what people were respon- sible for this action and how they were handled. The reason; they know all they have to do is nothing and wait. Time will pass and people will forget and no one will be held accountable. We,and I consider myself included are way too busy with are lives to care about the situation more than a few days,if even that long. Reporting these days is about the moment, then its forgotten about and the topic goes away. The proof is what was the re- solution to this fraud?

why does that not surprise me JB. Just look under any rug in the MBOE or Mike Pohls office &Read MoreYou Will Find Much of what has gone on is under them. They are just covering each others sixes. The Person who edits this so called "Local Version" of the patch is just plain LAZY & plagiarizes stories from other sites without attribution which the majority of are NOT LOCAL STORIES or interest or this site is edited from a outsourced desk in a cubicle overseas

You are mis-informed because the girls do still walk their neighborhoods and visit fam and friendsRead Morew ith the order forms. They DON'T walk around alone, or go too far into the neighborhoods, as Trisha states, it's not safe! So parents these days are a little more involved then back in the day?! What's wrong with that? We sell right a long with them. The weekend cookie booths are not a new "marketing" strategy, it's a SAFER method. Our girls look forward to the cookie booths, it's like a play date to them. They love their time together and love interacting with the public.
